Creating my first WordPress website has been an interesting learning experience. I decided to use WordPress.com because it provides an easy way to create and manage a website without needing to configure a server or deal with complicated technical setups. It also allows me to focus on learning how WordPress works and exploring its different features.
One of the challenges I encountered was getting familiar with the WordPress dashboard and understanding how to customize pages, organize content, and use the block editor. At first, some of the settings were a little confusing, but exploring the available tools helped me become more comfortable with the platform.
One important thing I learned is how flexible WordPress can be. Features like themes, blocks, and plugins make it possible to create different types of websites depending on your needs. I also learned how categories and posts help keep content organized.
Overall, this experience helped me better understand the basics of website creation and management. I’m looking forward to continuing to explore WordPress, improving my website, and learning more throughout the WordPress Credits program.
